Expert Rug Cleaning in Wainscott NY
The Georgica Association has a 100-acre enclave on the west side of Georgica Pond in Wainscott. Homes here, from summer houses to year-round residences, often have large rugs that collect sand and salt.
We remove sand first, wash each rug by fiber and dry it completely.
Wainscott’s eastern side faces Georgica Pond, and summer houses there see wet swimsuits and sandy feet. Rugs near pool doors need a full wash and a complete dry so they do not mildew over the winter.

Why Rugs Need Professional Cleaning:
Beach sand cuts at rug fibers from below. A wash removes it before the rug wears thin.
Our Rug Cleaning Process
- Each color is tested with a damp cloth before washing.
- Beach sand is beaten and vacuumed out of the knots.
- The pile is washed with a soap chosen for its fiber.
- We rinse until clear, then dry it flat indoors.
- Fringe and nap are combed before the drive back.
Types of Rugs We Clean
Wool Persians and Orientals, silk accent rugs, sisal, seagrass, jute, cotton dhurries and indoor-outdoor rugs.
